Please let me know the process to pledge the $100. I am not a member of any state chapter but just a registered member on this site.
Process is simpler than u can imagine,...just send a private message to me with the folowing info:
1) IV Handle
2) Ph#
3) Email ID
4) Amount u want to pledge.

Just curious: Did you registered/sign up for CRIS mail?.
I believe it is really a nice surprise if we see the card rather than customary bunch mails.

at some month before OCT 2007 the dates would become unavailable.
what would happen at that time?
say your case was received by USCIS and they have not issued FP notices.
what if they issued FP notices but not issued EAD and/or AP.
would they still issue an EAD and AP even if your dates are not current(obviously the case was received by them and they issued you a case number)
any ideas?
How do you know that the visa numbers will indeed become "U", come October? Any numbers/sources to back up the claim?
I know some senior members previously indicated in these forums that there is a difference between a "U"-Unavailable and a retrogressed date of 2003 for example.

Goal is to get atleast 1000 to start with.
First step is to collect details ( Name, E-mail and Ph No# )
Please send them MAN-WOMAN-GC ASAP . He has gracefully offered to maintain a spreadhseet.
Once we reach the number of resources, we will have conference calls, meet in person whoever can, arrange for money, decide on lawyers ( which MadhuVJ has some very good suggestions ) and move on from there
We are doing it brothers and sisters.

1) Contrubuted to IV again
2) Emailed 10 senators
3) Also emailed two Senators from my state
4) Emailed 30+ reporters of national news channels
5) Emailed all local Chicago newspapers
6) Emailed press release to 20+ Indian newspaper operating in US to increase awareness

Lawyer sent to NSC on 27th July. Today called to USCIS support. There are no receipts numbers in the system. What could be the reason.
Case might have got transferred to CSC. I applied on Jul' 23rd and no news yet.

Does section 201 mean that those with advanced degrees from US Universities are exempt from the 3 year requirement? This clarification is critical because of the 3 years in the RELATED field clause. I do not believe any of the other bills incorporating similar provisions have made this distinction for US advanced degree holders vs advanced degree holders from other countries. I believe all other bills impose the 3 year RELATED field restriction for ALL advanced degree holders.
If the 3 year RELATED field clause does not exist for US advanced degree holders in STEM, it would give relief to many members.

Here is my USPS status so far , they are slow in updating than Fedex/UPS.
Its also true that for Next day delivery they charge $20-25 but Fedex/UPS charges $80-$100. Lets hope it actually reaches there.

I have a bad feeling about IVs goals. Are you only concerned about getting the GC backlogs cleared? or are you going to be asking for H1b related issues to be addressed too? eg:- H1b renewal after the 6th year is an issue any moron could easily understand and pass. That has been there for many years and should continue for a successful H1b program. Please take care of that issue too. I dont see that included in the letter you have prepared to be sent out to all the senators. Please do that urgently. This is a very techinical issue and can easily be campaingned for. Pls dont ignore it.
If the number 3 in the letter has something to do with H1b renewal, pls reword it and make it clear, however, Idont believe its related to h1b renewal atall.

I agree with nousername and sledgehammer. It's funny how people justify unethical behavior by saying hey everybody is just trying to improve their own lives. Criminals are trying to improve their own life too and that doesn't excuse crime. The issue here is simple. This lady went for the quick and easy way out, applied for an H1B with some sleazy body shopper without having a project in hand and in the process, no doubt deprived someone better-deserving who actually had a job in hand.
Anyways, if you are not being paid, you are out of status. Best option for you is to apply for a COS to H4 right away so your out-of-status time doesn't come back to haunt you later. Without pay stubs it is doubtful that it will be approved so most probably you might have to go back to your home country and re-enter on an H4 stamp.
