No I did not...the date before it was of back in 2008.
My PD is Jan-17-2006 at NSC.
I got another soft LUD today but no change to my 485 status.
What does this mean ? I already got my approved EAD card 2 weeks back and the only thing pending is the 485 application.

If you turn on your Hispanic TV networks , nowadays lots of Mexicans are
blaming Argentinian coach/ naturalized players on Football World Cup elimination!
Lots of them are demanding that non mexican born people are not allowed neither to coach nor to play for Mexico anymore!:eek:

Generalizations are dangerous, for your information it is not racism, the fear of foreigners is known as Xenophobia. Argentines are not that much different from persons from Mexico as to their ethnicity and racial composition. Secondly the views of a few angry callers should not get a country labelled for a social ill just as the minute men and some supremacist groups do not make the US predominantly racist. We're loosing the focus here, this is not about this country or that country its about the immigrant community and the challenges we collectively face.

On a serious note, there have been 4 cases approved today(from other site - 2 cases from India and 2 from ROW). So looks like there are some ROW applications also in queue during this time of the year getting approved. I saw someone from EB2-ROW getting 485 approved (filed 140/485 concurrently) in a record time of just 30 calendar days(Filed on July 26th and approved Aug 25th). Never heard USCIS was so efficient.
Looking at the positive side, since they are still approving ROW cases, it may mean that spillover is still happening and there are visas available.

I see a pattern here.Looks like the EB2 folks are getting EAD renewals much faster than the EB3 folks.EB3's are getting screwed even here.

This section specifies anyone caught in the backlog would be able to pay $500 to adjust status... So your husband is ok (again, should this SKIL ever become reality)
However, I am confused this section 205 falls into Title II, "Retaining Foreign Workers Educated in the United States". Section 205 does not read like anything to do with a degree in the US..

guys new to this forum. Was in another forum. But here is the real deal.
Its not a question of blood sucking etc...i know, i was very involved in my company. The real reason for delaying the I-485 process is the company has to really disclose a lot ( i mean a lot) of its financial information about itself to USCIS,( including the latest tax returns) etc..
A lot of small business do not want to do that as they differ their taxes for years. Tax differment is not new ( read about News Corp). These companies do not want to get into these situations.

I guess the employer financial records are applicable only during I-140 stages, "Ability to Pay". But for 485 I do not think it is required for employer to prove that they are financially stable

Thank you, texcan. FP may not be requierd for EAD renewal or first-time EAD? Mine is first time EAD. So, eseentially no FP yet for 485 (filed August 07) and first time EAD (this August)!

Anyways, paper based ead renewal donot require finger prints. Search the forum, this has been stated many time.

Also - emailed both personal contacts at my state senators offices with whom I (and a group of other state members) visited over the last month and a half to re-iterate general IV goals and to state strong opposition to S1348.
I have received personal responses back from both Feinstein and Boxer at this point.

Story of my life. I complain about delay with my application. Someone joins me and tells me they are in the same boat and the very next day that someone leaves the boat and jumps into "greener" pastures. Everyone is leaving the boat and I seem to be left out :(
Who else are in my boat? (Application with an officer for over 2 weeks and still status = "Initial Review")
me too in same boat. :) In my case USCIS have wrong priority date on my case. On their records it somehow shows Jan 2006, while it should be Jul 2003. I have tried to get it resolved but they haven't done anything about it [had tried Ombudsman (7001), Senator, congressman, SR etc]. Funny thing is even the incorrect priority date is current now. And still waiting for GC for over a month :mad:

So its up to us to work extra hard to achieve things that will benefit 500,000 people.
Things like Visa Recapture, which benefit 100s of thousands benefit everyone including EB3, as there are only about 40-60,000 EB2s left.
